What is the Author Jam?

We have a lot of talented authors in this beautiful country of ours, and we wanted to create a place where you, the reader, could have a chance to meet them, and maybe find your next favourite author, while also raising money for charity!
We're extremely lucky to also have some amazing authors coming here from further afield.

So, grab the family, grab your friends, and come on down to Wham Bam Author Jam!
There's something for everyone!

Who are we?

Stacey Broadbent

Stacey lives in Ashburton, New Zealand, with her husband and three children. An avid reader and self-confessed book-a-holic, she has always had a love of the written word, so it was only a matter of time before she took pen to paper and began on her writing journey. Stacey is a multi-genre author, with books from light-hearted comedies to zombie thrillers.

Wham Bam Author Jam was started in 2018 and ran for three years. After a brief break and some soul searching, Stacey is back and ready to bring WBAJ back for 2027!

Allie

Allie lives in Christchurch, New Zealand with her husband and two children.  She has been a lover of books from a very young age, and found her love for books again after Love and other words by Christina Lauren caught her eye at a shop back in 2022. From there the addiction took over and Allie is on her way to building her own personal Library.

In 2023 she decided to gather up the book lovers of Christchurch and begin bookish meet ups with others who share the love and passion for reading like her which led her to organising book retreats with Emma.

Being part of the WBAJ team for Allie is all about bringing like minded people together to share their love for books and literature while also discovering new and amazing authors from far and wide!

Emma

A busy mum of two young girls Emma finds sanity in between pages in her hometown of Christchurch New Zealand.
A lover of all things gothic fiction, fantasy, horror, dark romance, witchy and strong female leads.

Being part of WBAJ is a very exciting opportunity to discover, share and support local authors (including our trans-Tasman neighbours) and their art - and meeting the individuals who share the same love.
